To maintain the surface, we recommend our Leather Protector. It contains antioxidants, which stops the leather's decay, and its UV filters protect the surfaces from colour fading and will make them supple once more.Amount: 150 ml. This is usually sufficient for the one-time treatment (minimum) of a complete car interior or a set of furniture.Application: Always test any products first on a hidden area in case they affect the colour!Use COLOURLOCK Leather Protector when the leather has dried completely from cleaning or colour refreshment, ideally on the following day. Apply with a soft cloth and let dry without polishing. One application is sufficient. Strained surfaces (heavy use or in sunlit areas) should be treated every three months. Clean before use to prevent dirt sticking to the surface. These products are also suitable for "Cool Leather/SRT (SunReflective Technology) Leather"!
Application area: New smooth leather, pigmented or surface-coloured leather in cars, furniture, jackets and handbags. Do not use on porous leathers, suede, or nubuck. Application Always test any products first on a hidden area in case they affect the colour.Moisten a terry cloth slightly with COLOURLOCK Leather Shield, lightly wipe the moistend cloth over the leather and let dry. Do not buff or polish immediately after application. One application is sufficient. Repeat every three months on strained surfaces or heavily used areas. Prior to application, clean off any dirt with COLOURLOCK Mild or Strong Leather Cleaner. These products are also suitable for "Cool Leather/SRT (SunReflective Technology) Leather"!
Ideal for the care of leather which is exposed to the weather, or for conserving extremely dry or antique leather.Designed for treating genuine "Pull Up" furniture leather (oiled leather). Do not use on Bycast or polyurethane-coated (PU) leather. Application Always test any products first on a hidden area in case they affect the colour.Rub some preserver onto a clean, soft piece of cloth and apply to the leather. If required, use the cloth to give a final polish. The fat is difficult to use when it’s cold, so be sure to work at room temperature or warm it slightly with a hair dryer. COLOURLOCK Elephant Leather Preserver protects and waterproofs all types of nappa leather.
For new aniline or suede leather, we recommend our Aniline & Suede Protector. It protects the leather from drying and bleaching. To guard against stains, the leather should additionally be treated with our COLOURLOCK Waterproofing for nubuck leather and textile clothing. Ideally this should be done within a year, and more frequently afterwards. The waterproofing is always applied last. Application Always test any products first in a hidden area for changes or colour correctness! Use according to instructions on the label.
Aniline Cream offers intensive protection for all fine-pore, matt and sensitive top-grain leathers. To check if your leather is aniline, simply put a small drop of water onto the surface. If it soaks in and darkens the surface, then you will need to protect it against dirt and stains.Amount: 250 ml (sufficient for a complete set of furniture), 1 litreApplication areas: Furniture Leather, Leather ClothingFor: Aniline leather, Pull Up leather, Semi-aniline leatherUsed regularly, COLOURLOCK Aniline Cream provides a strong barrier against all types of stains and soiling. This treatment is best applied at an early stage as a preventative measure as stains that have already been absorbed into the leather are hard to remove without professional help.Typical areas of application:
All kinds of fine-pore, matt, porous top-grain leather furniture
The Volkswagen Touareg aniline leather
All porous garment leather (top-grain leather)
Porous top-grain calf shoe leather
For glossy aniline leather, use COLOURLOCK Gloss Cream.
Coarse-pore or very sensitive aniline leather should be treated with COLOURLOCK Waterproofing for nubuck and textile. Read more about aniline leather here.
The Aniline Cream should only be applied to clean leather! Always test any products first on a hidden area in case they affect the colour.
Wet a soft, lint-free cloth slightly with the Aniline Cream and apply evenly in a circular motion, from seam to seam, on the leather's surface. Wait about ten minutes and repeat application. New aniline leather should be treated at least three times in order to prevent stains and discolouration. When finished, warm the surface slightly with a hair dryer. This improves the protective effect. Strained surfaces should be treated at least every three months. Clean the leather carefully with COLOURLOCK Aniline Cleaner before each treatment. This is a gentle cleaner but not suitable for nubuck or suede. Slightly moisten a soft, lint-free piece of cloth with the Cleaner and clean in a circular motion from seam to seam - never apply directly on the leather! Soak up moisture and dirt immediately with a suitable cloth. Avoid too much pressure while rubbing. Test on a hidden area first. Please note that drawn-in stains cannot be removed using the Aniline Cleaner (see pictures). In these cases, please ask us for advice.
The Waterproofing Spray is a gentle anti-stain protection

Gloss Cream is a care and stain protection product suitable for open-pored, fine-grained, glossy smooth leathers which have a light base protection and do not immediately absorb a drop of liquid. Leathers suitable for the product are found in the furniture sector and in bags or clothing. For safety, always test all care products first in a concealed area for changes. Product description Aniline leathers are open-pored smooth leathers. Such leathers are wonderfully warm and natural, but more sensitive than surface-dyed smooth leathers. Not all aniline leathers are the same. Some leathers have a fine grain and are pre-treated, other leathers are more coarse-pored and absorb any liquid immediately. The gloss cream is suitable only for the fine-pored and glossy aniline leathers which do not absorb a drop of water immediately. Appropriate care is especially important for open-pored leathers in order to make the leather somewhat less sensitive so it can be cleaned more easily. However, the most important protection always remains a careful handling of the natural product, leather. Because of the sensitivity of open-pored leathers, all products must always be tested first in a concealed area! APPLICATION Due to the sensitivity of open-pored leather, all products must always be tested for changes in a concealed area first! Never apply the products directly to the leather, but always rub the cleaner onto a sponge or cloth and the care product into a soft cloth first. Always apply the products in a circular motion from seam to seam to avoid stains or streaks. Gloss Cream For everyday care, we recommend Gloss Cream which is an effective stain protector, increases the gloss level and keeps the leather supple. Gloss Cream should only be applied to clean leather. For soiled leather we recommend Aniline Cleaner. First check the application on a concealed area! Moisten a soft, lint-free cloth with the product and apply it to the leather surface evenly from seam to seam in a circular motion. Allow to soak in briefly (10 min.) and repeat if necessary. New aniline leather should be treated several times in areas heavy use during initial treatment to prevent stains and discoloration. After application, heat the surface slightly with a hair dryer. This increases the protective effect. The desired gloss is only achieved by re-polishing the dried surface. Heavily used areas should be re-treated every three months. For less stressed areas, intervals of 6 to 12 months are sufficient. 75 ml of Gloss Cream is recommended for bags. 250 ml of Gloss Cream is sufficient for an armchair or a set of furniture. For larger leather upholstery surfaces, we also carry the product in liters. The products have a shelf life of several years if stored at room temperature, frost-free and not too warm. Ingredients Gloss Cream Ingredients according to INCI (International Nomenclature Cosmetic Ingredients): AQUA, FLUORPOLYMER DISPERSION, CERA CARNAUBA, ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL Preservatives according to INCI: METHYLISOTHIAZOLINONE, IODOPROPYNYL BUTYLCARBAMATE (The information according to INCI helps allergy sufferers to identify certain substances, most of which are harmless to others). Leather hardens through age and also lack of care. If the leather has not been used for a long time the fibres will dry out through lack of movement. Heat also causes leather to shrink. Originally most vehicle leather was the processed vegetable tanned variety which hardens and shrinks at a temperature of about 70 °C (= 158°F). Today processed chrome-tanned hides are used which can withstand temperatures of around 90 °C (= 194°F). The less a leather is re-oiled through care, the lower the temperature at which it will start to shrink.
THE TREATMENT OF HARDENED LEATHER
First clean the leather with COLOURLOCK Mild Leather Cleaner. Important: Too much moisture can damage antique leather so it is advisable to use a foam, rather than liquid, cleaner and remove the residue with a slightly damp cloth. . Allow to dry naturally and away from heat and sunlight.Next repair cracks and rips with COLOURLOCK Fluid Leather before treating with Leather Softener. This is important as Leather Softener is oil-based, making it difficult for repair products to be absorbed.
Apply Leather Softener with a sponge or a soft cloth. For best results, the softener must be applied on the reverse side (the layer facing the cushions on the inside). Because the surface is rougher, it is more receptive to treatment than the smooth side. Unless you are planning on carrying out further upholstery repairs, you are advised not to remove the covers for this treatment as old leather can tear or break easily.Let the leather rest for 24 hours to allow time for it to fully absorb the Leather Softener, then repeat. One litre is sufficient for an entire vehicle area. For individual upholstery parts use 250 ml.Next try and loosen the fibres by kneading the leather with your hands. Continue until the leather feels softer. But be careful as very old and shrunken leather can break easily. While the leather will never be as soft as it once was, you should still see a noticeable improvement. Professionals use a leather-softening tool to soften the leather (see video). After the final application of Leather Softener remove the residue with a soft cloth and let the leather rest for a week before carrying out further treatment and repairs. Before using repair products thoroughly degrease the area with COLOURLOCK Leather Cleaning Spirit. To nourish and protect the leather, use COLOURLOCK Leather Protector and, if the leather is glossy or exposed to the weather, COLOURLOCK Elephant Leather Preserver offers added protection. Depending on the level of use a care treatment should be applied once or twice a year. Further treatments with Leather Softenerare not necessary.
Amount: 250 ml. This is usually sufficient for one or two seats and several handbags/smaller suitcases.

The leather sole oil is the ideal leather care product for welted shoes with leather soles. Leather soles come in contact with moisture and must be maintained accordingly. The leather sole oil keeps the leather flexible, waterproofs it and increases the abrasion resistance of the sole.Amount: 150 ml. One bottle is sufficient to treat several pairs of shoes several times.APPLICATIONShake before use.Break-in new soles first so that the fiber structure of the outersole gets a bit rough and becomes receptive to the product. When using for the first time, apply the leather sole oil sparingly and evenly two to three times without completely soaking the leather. Apply with a cloth or brush until the sole is saturated. Repeat one-coat application two to four times a year. Caution: Leather oil can cause stains on porous upper leather.Attention!• If there are visible seams on the leather sole, please skip this area so that no oil gets into the shoe.• Do not overapply! Avoid oversaturating the sole, so that the oil does not go inside the shoe.• Do not treat the sole edge to avoid oil stains on the upper leather.• Porous leather soles are more sensitive to weather than rubber soles. Therefore wear weather-resistant footwear for snow and continuous rain instead of leather soled shoes.• This product is designed for outer shoe soles, it is not suitable for insoles.
PU leather is cheaper than standard leather, which is what makes it attractive, but is not as durable. It relies on the polyurethane coating for stability. This coating makes the leather feel colder than standard leather and it is more likely to stick to the skin. The polyurethane coating requires special care – normal leather care products will not penetrate, while the classic wax and oil treatments will cause damage. PU leather is also very sensitive to contact from skin and hair and can easily crack, which is why it needs to be cleaned and maintained regularly.Use a lint-free dry or slightly damp cloth to dust the surface. Then, every 3 to 6 months, apply COLOURLOCK PU Protector gently with a soft cloth. This will remove dirt and keep the surface smooth and glossy.Deep scratches and abrasions are difficult to treat. Sometimes light scratches can be removed by heating with a hair dryer. The PU coating has to be heated well to remove the scratches. In most cases, the scratches disappear almost completely. But this has to be done with extreme caution as excessive heating can cause irreparable damage to the coating. It’s advisable to test first by making similar scratches – but not too deep – on a hidden area. Where possible, areas that come into contact with skin and hair should, in addition to regular cleaning and treatment with PU Protector, be protected by pillows and blankets. Damaged PU coatings (matt, sticky, rough or cracked) can rarely be repaired. The options are to have the PU leather replaced by an upholsterer or buy new furniture.
PEOX is a water-based paste which dries transparently to create a
durable protective film. It is used on invisible areas to prevent
squeaking noises and reduce wear from friction. The product should be
applied in a thin layer on contact areas using a piece of cloth. For
visible areas, or on surfaces prone to rust, use LEISOL quiet cream. Noise in
vehicles has decreased significantly by more modern engines and noise
insulation systems. In contrast, the percentage of moving parts in the
vehicle has increased considerably. The seats can be adjusted in many
variations, cup holders, toggle switches, and much more can lead to
disturbing creaking, squeaking or rattling noises. In many
years of working with the luxury segment of the automotive industry,
LEDERZENTRUM GmbH has developed a range of anti-friction coatings that
successfully eliminates these noises. During the development of
the LIP ANTI-FRICTION COATINGS, two universal products have been
developed which are the first choice in noise reduction for workshops,
customer services and consumers. Both products are easy to use, create a
transparent, durable, elastic, protective film which doesn't bind soil
particles. Another benefit is the reduction in wear and tear. Friction
sounds are always a sign of wear and tear!
First, find the source of the noise. Ask for help if the area is not easy to identify.
Often it’s necessary to uncover the affected area. This may require disassembling parts.
Clean the area before application.
Use PEOX on invisible areas and LEISOL for visible but inaccessible parts.
Rub some PEOX into a cloth and apply on the respective surfaces and let dry.
Please note that PEOX can cause corrosive surfaces to rust. Also don’t apply on acrylic glass or safety-relevant parts like braking systems, etc.
